chamomile

Caution

May cause symptoms in more sensitive people. Track your own reaction.

According to the SIGHI list, common chamomile is classified as Category 0, which means it is generally very well tolerated and considered low in histamine. However, as with many other herbs, it may trigger a pseudoallergic or mild reaction in some more sensitive individuals with histamine intolerance, which is usually caused either by the presence of other biogenic amines, the release of endogenous histamine (it acts as a liberator), or individual cross-sensitivity, such as in cases of allergy to other Asteraceae plants.
