aloe vera
Aloe vera may contain saponins and other substances that irritate the intestines.
Unsuitable
This food is often poorly tolerated with histamine intolerance.
Although aloe vera does not directly contain high levels of histamine, it is generally not recommended for people with histamine intolerance. Furthermore, scientific studies show that fresh aloe vera gel can prolong the stimulating effects of histamine in the body and release it into the tissues, while the anthraquinones it contains have laxative effects that irritate the intestinal mucosa, increase its permeability, and can thus significantly worsen the typical symptoms of HIT. For these reasons, Aloe vera must be approached with a high degree of individual caution and should be completely avoided during the strict elimination phase of the diet.
